In 1942 by a gentleman named Ed Hicks founded a water treatment company in Waukon, Iowa. Cy Schmidt purchased the business from Ed, who then sold it to Dan Otting in 1970. Dan renamed the business The D & H Corporation. Dan's son, Pat, started working with his dad in 1983. Pat started with deliveries and worked his way to selling and servicing equipment. Pat purchased the business in 2004. His son Marc started working for him in 2008 at the age of 14. Just like his dad, Marc started out with deliveries and worked his way into sales and service. Marc continues to work alongside his dad providing innovative and quality water treatment solutions with Evolve Series. In 2024 The D & H Corporation was renamed Otting Water Treatment, and continues to serve northeast Iowa.
